ABOUT ACA

Asian
Capital
Alliance

We are an investment company,
based in Tokyo and Singapore,
linking markets across
Asia through capital.

ACA solves investment issues for financial institutions, non-financial companies, company owners, management executives, investors, and minority shareholders by leveraging a variety of financial techniques. The investment issues include those for "Buyout Investment" that provides a solution to business succession and fundamental management issues, "Growth Equity Investment" that helps to accelerate the growth of companies with outstanding business potential, and "Secondary Investment" that provides liquidity to company shares, bonds, and equity in investment funds, to which traditional funds have difficulty in providing solutions.

TOP MESSAGE

While investment companies come in various forms, what makes us different from others is that all of our business activities are directed toward creating value. The global economic order is in the midst of tremendous change. One of the most obvious changes is economic growth in Asia’s emerging markets. Meanwhile, the maturation of the Japanese market has become ever more pronounced, while the country is faced with an aging society coupled with a declining birthrate. Some see these trends as disappointing by saying, “Japan is falling behind Asia’s emerging nations.” But I disagree.

Japanese companies, which have accumulated large treasure troves of intellectual property (“IP”) , have already captured the attention of many Asian companies and find themselves blessed with a host of business opportunities. As an organization of investment professionals capable of identifying these business opportunities and leading them to create corporate value, ACA grounds its business activities on the three points described below.

Build Strength

Value comes from understanding individual differences. When we say “Asia,” we are referring to a region in which countries differ significantly in terms of systems, accounting practices, cultures, values, and national traits, and with dramatic differences in strengths and weaknesses. By understanding the differences between individual countries and companies and leveraging their unique strengths, we can create tremendous value. ACA will strive to increase corporate value by offering valuable proposals that leverage the strengths of individual countries and companies while seeking to understand and respect their differences.

Stay Fair

To win the trust of companies while respecting their individual differences, we need to make conscious efforts to stay fair in transactions at all times. In reality, staying fair is extremely difficult, as how people interpret the word “fair” differs by country and region. ACA seeks to earn trust by exploring what it believes are fair transactions based on an understanding the differences among countries.

Stick To The Cause

Investment companies in general, not just ACA, bring massive funds to bear as they make proposals. It goes without saying that, since such funds have enormous sway over companies, the decision on how to use funds must be made prudently at all times. In this regard, ACA focuses in the first place on “whether a capital injection actually helps a company leverage its unique strengths and create new intellectual value.” This is because such intellectual value will ultimately lead to growth in economic value and in turn to increased social value. ACA defines its purpose as contributing to society by linking different types of value to create new value. This serves as the foundations for all our investment decisions.
